Have you ever had one of those chance meetings with a kindred spirit...someone who truly moves you and touches your heart? That is how it was when I met Mike and Debbie Schramer. They are the artists who created every detail of this fairy house. (click on images to enlarge)
We met at a kids faire where we were both displaying our work and I was lucky enough to have a booth right next to them. I looked at their beautiful art and was just in awe of their creativity. After studying their fairy houses and furniture I got to thinking that it reminded me of the fairy furniture featured in Victoria Magazine years ago. That evening I looked through some past issues and found the issue Debbie was featured in so I brought it with me the next day and asked her to sign it for me!
I was so thrilled to be able to speak with Debbie about her feature. It turns out that her fairy furniture was photographed by my favorite photographer - Toshi Otsuki. What a thrill! If that wasn't enough...Nancy Lindemeyer - the editor of Victoria Magazine bought one of her pieces!
Debbie and Mike were so kind to let me know they appreciated my work. I was elated when they asked if I could photograph their fairy pieces!
The details in this amazing house leave me breathless. Everything is made from flowers, moss, bark and other bits you would find in a forest...there are also things made from seashells and starfish. (I think the fairies must live in a forest near the sea!)
There is even a recipe book in the kitchen! (I don't know why typepad wont let me remove the underline!)
The fairy people that inhabit this home are artists and they have plenty of supplies to create a masterpiece!
Besides the fairy house there are also individual pieces...
enchanting details...
I love this pinecone doll!
Debbie generously chose three of their pieces just for me, a beautiful floral bed, chair and the sweetest little doll, I will cherish them always... (Thank you Debbie!)
Mike and Debbie have so much to offer...they have created a whole enchanted world! Be sure to visit
Mike and Debbie's blog where you will find information on their art and links to their other websites!
